About us

Part of the Royal Corps of Signals, our Territorial Army unit provides one of the most unique Army communications systems in the world. It’s our job to maintain links between Army units in order to constantly relay vital information to commanders on the ground.

A vital part of the Army’s day-to-day function during Operations such as our recent peace-keeping role in Cyprus, we also provide support to UK mainland agencies in times of civil emergencies such as flooding and terror alerts. For this reason, we remain at a high state of readiness for action.

As a Territorial Army soldier with 61 Signal Squadron 32 (Scottish) Signal Regiment, your training will be varied, including physical training, soldiering skills and a range of communication and information systems. As well as IT operators and System Engineering Technicians, we also rely on, and train, support staff such as chefs, mechanics, vehicle electricians, administrators, medical technicians… and much more.

This is a great chance to take on a challenging role, improve your skills and play a vital role in a highly professional team.
