About us
52nd Lowland, 6th Battalion, the Royal Regiment of Scotland. are one of 2 Territorial Army Battalions of the Royal Regiment of Scotland which is respected throughout the world.
Training with us in your spare time will involve learning a wide range of skills needed to operate in a Light Infantry role – to the same standard as Regular Army soldiers. You will become highly proficient with a range of small arms, mortars, and possibly anti-tank missile systems. Or you may wish to specialise as a driver, radio operator, medic, logistician… or in another equally vital role.
Whatever your skills, we aim to find the role that suits you best.
You will be part of a professional team – founded on the challenges and achievements gained on character-building overseas training exercises. Recent exercises have taken us to places such as Ukraine, USA, Belgium, Slovakia and France – involving a wide range of adventurous activities such as parachuting, rock climbing, canoeing and skiing.

Directions
Follow the A77 for Ayr. At the roundabout, take 1st exit onto A77 (Ayr Prestwick By Pass) for about 3.9 miles. At the roundabout take the last exit for Prestwick. At the third set of traffic lights turn left for about 400 metre then turn left, signposted "TA CENTRE" .
