About us
Glasgow Detachment 144 Parachute Medical Squadron (Volunteers) is part of 16 Medical Regiment and provides primary medical support and secondary healthcare to both soldiers and civilians during conflict, peacekeeping and humanitarian operations all over the world.
In your spare time as a Medical, Dental and Health care professions, you will trained to adapt your medical or healthcare training to challenging military environments, such as temporary medical facilities in tents or buildings and primary medical support on the ground using simple equipment carried by the individual.
As well as trained medical, dental and healthcare professionals, we also need chefs, technicians, electrical and mechanical engineers and much more… so you could have the chance to extend your knowledge and expertise into new areas.
16 Medical Regiment is part of 16 Air Assault Brigade; individual in the Regiment are required to complete Parachute selection and Military Parachute training. This requires a good level of fitness and plenty of determination.
Whether you join Glasgow Detachment 144 PARACHUTE Medical Squadron as a Medical, Dental, Health care professional or a driver, you’ll play an essential part in helping to save lives.
