About us
We provide Drivers, Mechanics, Officers and Soldiers to support overseas operations. Our Squadron members have already served in the Balkans, Iraq and Cyprus alongside Regular Soldiers. These deployments are expected to be a regular part of our annual activities. Our training has changed to reflect this increased commitment to support overseas operations.
Roles
The regiment provides Drivers, Chefs, Radio Ops, Mechanics and Military Clerks in support of all operations both home and abroad. Personnel joining the regiment on successful completion of their Military training depending on what career they wish to pursue can gain Driving LIcences and other Civilian qualifications to assist them in their civilian employment. There are also lots of opportunities to take part in Adventure training and additional sports such as Skiing, football and Orientering.
Training night
We train on a Wednesday Evening between 7.30 - 9.30 pm and at various weekends throughout the year. On your first visit we will show you round the TA centre and give you a short presentation on the role of the unit and let you know all about what being a member of the Territorial Army involves. Don't be afraid to give us a call, you're under no obligation to sign up just by visiting.
