Supporting Employers

Defence recognises the commitment of employers of Reservists, and offers advice and support for organisations. Legislation also allows employers, Reservists and self-employed Reservists financial assistance for the duration of their mobilisation. Businesses and other organisations can also demonstrate the support they provide to the Armed Forces by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. Supportive employers of Reservists are also recognised through Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards.
