On Thursday 14th April, the Lowland Reserve Forces’ and Cadets’ Association enjoyed a gathering and presentations at the Signet Library in Edinburgh.
Association members were joined by a broader network of Defence-minded individuals, including some of those on their Employer Recognition Scheme journey and last year’s Cadet Adult Recognition Award (CARA) winners.
The first presentation of the evening was awarded to City Building’s Sharon McGrath on account of the organisation’s dedication to Reservists and Defence. In Sharon’s absence, Gavin Hay collected the tri-Service certificate.
The second presentation was made to former Lowland RFCA Colonel Robbie Gibson OBE who retired in 2020 after 15 years at the helm of the organisation. Signed by all 14 of Lowland’s Lord-Lieutenants, Colonel Gibson was given a framed certificate of thanks, in honour of his huge contribution.
