23 businesses from across Scotland including Adecco, Harper Macleod, Graham’s Dairy, Empteezy, Teleperformance and the Trades House of Glasgow have become the latest organisations to sign up to the Armed Forces Covenant.

The Armed Forces Covenant was introduced in 2011 and is the country’s commitment to those who serve (or have served) in HM Armed Forces. More than 2,000 top UK organisations have already signed the Covenant. Signing the Covenant is an important and welcome commitment from employers that they understand and value the UK’s Reserve Forces, and the particular benefits Reservists bring to the workplace. This, in turn, allows Reserve Forces to conduct their business in the knowledge that the employers support what they are doing.

This partnership between employers and Defence is crucial in defending the national interest. The business leaders joined the Commanding Officers of Glasgow-based Navy (HMS Dalriada), Army (6 SCOTS) and Air Force (602 Squadron) Reserve units at a signing ceremony in Glasgow.
