Yesterday, 21 teams descended on Trump Turnberry to take part in an Armed Forces Covenant Corporate Golf Day.

Invited by Lowland RFCA, Forces-friendly businesses from across the region were invited to enter a team, teeing off on the championship Ailsa course and raising money for the On Course Foundation (a brilliant Veterans’ charity). Each team also included a Veteran, giving the other participants plenty of time to hear more about life in the Forces.

After a business breakfast in the clubhouse, the teams ventured out into the howling winds, eager to make the most of the golfing and networking opportunities.

A few hours later, and with some more windswept than others, the golfers gathered in the hotel’s ballroom to enjoy a sumptuous supper and charity auction.

We will look forward to revealing how much has been raised for charity in due course, but in the meantime, we would like to thank Turnberry for their generous hospitality and for all those who entered a team!
