The Royal Naval Reserve (RNR) is a part-time force of civilians, who provide the Royal Navy with the additional trained personnel it needs at times of tension, humanitarian crisis, or conflict.

The RNR is made up of around 3,000 men and women from all backgrounds and walks of life, most of them have no previous military experience.

As a member of the RNR you could be giving vital logistical support to ship crews, sending detailed signal information to merchant shipping, or planning the landing of an amphibious task group.

Being a Royal Naval Reservist offers you a fantastic way of life. You’ll be financially rewarded for your commitment. You’ll become an indispensable part of the armed forces. And you’ll get the chance to see places and do things most people only dream of, with some of the best friends you’ll ever make.
