Lowland RFCA has been monitoring the developing situation with respect to COVID-19 and our plans for the Lowland RFCA Annual General Meeting in Glasgow on 26 March 2020.
The progression of the disease in the UK is unfolding, but the pace will quicken – timescale unclear – such that gatherings of a non-essential nature are likely to become ill-advised.
The President and the Chairman believe it is prudent, therefore, to make an early decision now and to cancel the meeting. This is very much regretted, however, it would be unfair on our speakers and contributors to perhaps run the decision to the wire.
We will seek to include as much as possible of the planned presentations in the Area Committee meetings through the year.
