Day-to-day management of Lowland RFCA’s functions are carried out by staff at its HQ in Glasgow. The main functions are outlined below.
Reserve Forces
Lowland RFCA supports the Reserve Forces of all three Services in varying ways, from the maintenance of their buildings to welfare, publicity and recruiting support. For more information about the Reserve Forces contact our HQ.
Cadets & Youth
Lowland RFCA advises and assists the Defence Council on issues involving the Sea Cadet Corps (SCC), Army Cadet Force (ACF) and RAF Air Cadets (RAFAC) across the Lowlands of Scotland. For more information about the Cadets contact our Deputy Chief Executive.
Supporting Employers
Defence recognises the commitment of employers of Reservists, and offers advice and support for organisations. Legislation also allows employers, Reservists and self-employed Reservists financial assistance for the duration of their mobilisation. Businesses and other organisations can also demonstrate the support they provide to the Armed Forces by signing the Armed Forces Covenant. Supportive employers of Reservists are also recognised through Defence’s Employer Recognition Scheme Gold, Silver and Bronze Awards. Reserve and Cadet Estate
Lowland RFCA is responsible for the upkeep and management of the Reserve and Cadet Estate, comprising more than 600 Army Reserve Centres and Cadet facilities across 136 sites. For more information about the Reserve and Cadet Estate contact our Estates Team.
Generating Income for the Benefit of Reserve Forces
