Three RAF Puma helicopters will be stationed in Scotland to support the NHS across Scotland and Northern England during the Coronavirus pandemic.
This assistance will involve medical transportation or general support, such as equipment delivery and personnel transport.
It is just one example of how the UK’s ArmedForces are encouraging and aiding the NHS.
As of 27 March, the RAF Puma helicopters are going to be stationed in Moray (Kinloss Barracks).
Scottish Secretary Alister Jack said:
“The UK’s Armed Forces are doing a fantastic job in supporting the country’s efforts to tackle coronavirus.
“The UK Government is working closely with the Scottish Government on our response, and the MoD will be able to offer them much-needed specialist skills.
“We are very grateful for the commitment and dedication shown by all members of our Armed Forces at this challenging time.”
