Lowland’s Comms Team were delighted to host the inaugural Employer Recognition Scheme Media and Networking Breakfast on the morning of the 18th of September at Edinburgh Castle.
With the promise of coffee and pastries, we invited the publicists (Heads of Marketing, Comms, PR etc.) from each of this year’s ERS Silver and Gold winners to a workshop on how best to publicise their outstanding achievements.
Meeting in the exclusive Officers’ Mess, guests were briefed on the power of Defence advocacy and asked to think about how they could use their media platforms once the awards are over.
When highlighting the potential impact the gathered communicators could have, Lowland’s Kate said: ‘Your public support, your Defence advocacy is really powerful, and has the capacity to make a national difference. What might just seem like social media content, a press release or a mailer, is you playing a wonderful part in this United Kingdom’s Defence story.’
Scullion Law‘s Marketing Manager, Sarah Fishwick, reflected on the event, saying: ‘What an incredible group of people I met this morning at the ERS Media Breakfast at Edinburgh Castle. Great to strengthen our ties with like minded people, supporting and employing members of our Armed Forces. I felt very privileged to represent not only Scullion LAW but HMS Dalriada.’
