Every year, the Lord-Lieutenants’ Certificates of Meritorious Service are presented to Reservists, Cadet Force Adult Volunteers (CFAVs) and Ministry of Defence civil servants for their outstanding dedication to their units and wider communities, and are recognised as highly prized honours throughout the Armed Forces Community.
The Lord-Lieutenants, who act as regional representatives for the Crown, present these prestigious certificates at special award ceremonies throughout the Lowlands of Scotland. This gives the worthy recipients a chance to publicly celebrate this great achievement with their colleagues and loved ones.
